Privacy

What thesystemprompt.com collects, what it does not, and who else is involved when you use it.

Hosting

Server logs

This site is a set of static files hosted by Netlify. Like any web server, Netlify records a log entry for each request: your IP address, the time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser's user-agent string. These logs are used to serve the site, keep it available and defend it against abuse. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not run any analytics, tracking pixels or advertising scripts on this site.

Netlify acts as our hosting provider and processes this data on our behalf under its own infrastructure and security terms.

Cookies

This site sets none

thesystemprompt.com sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser's local storage. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Embeds

YouTube players

Where an episode page embeds a video, the player is loaded from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode: YouTube does not store cookies for personalised advertising until you actually start playback. Once you press play, or if you follow a link to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X or Facebook, you are on that platform and its own privacy policy and tracking apply. We have no access to, and no control over, what those platforms collect.

Newsletter

The weekly brief

The weekly brief is sent with Buttondown. If you subscribe, the email address you enter — plus the tag site, which records that you signed up here rather than elsewhere — is stored by Buttondown and used only to send you the brief. Buttondown also records ordinary delivery information such as bounces. We do not sell, rent or share the list, and every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing removes you from future sends; write to us if you also want your address deleted outright.

Your data

Access, correction, deletion

To ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, write to hello@thesystemprompt.com. The controller is the entity named in the Impressum, at the address given there.

Email sent to that address is stored in our mailbox for as long as needed to handle the matter, and longer where the law requires us to keep it.
